What can you do in Audit & Assurance at Deloitte?
Keen to make a bigger impact for clients and for your career? Want to apply your industry experience and not be limited by it? At Deloitte, we work collaboratively on all Audit & Assurance projects, in cross-business teams. Whether your expertise is in financial services, the private or public sector, you’ll work with colleagues across the audit team and the wider firm.
Join our Private team and you’ll get to work with some of the most dynamic privately owned companies in the UK. Whether you’re advising them on their journey to becoming listed, or helping them with other unique challenges their vision presents; your work will go beyond traditional audit. You’ll become a ‘trusted advisor’ to these business owners.
Our client portfolio spans all FS sectors, from insurance companies to investment management and private equity firms, banking to capital markets. The opportunities to diversify or specialise are huge. Taking a truly collaborative approach, with experts from across the Deloitte business, you’ll provide a mix of audit and advisory work.
You can expect senior level exposure, fast progression, and variety in this team. Working with some of the most influential companies in the UK and internationally, or with public sector organisations, you’ll get under the skin of their operations and offer expert insights; not just to senior finance teams, but across the whole organisation. These clients offer some of the most exciting challenges available in audit.

All of us have the power to choose where, when and how we work. From part time working and annualised hours, to enabling people to work from home, or from different locations, we have a huge range of flexible working options.
Respect and Inclusion is at the heart of our talent strategy
We are working hard to ensure that our talent pool is diverse and reflects the make-up of today’s society. We want to show that everyone can thrive, develop and succeed in our firm based on their talent; regardless of ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, or any other dimension that can be used to differentiate people from one another.
Our Diversity Networks connect people who share affinity indicators such as gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, disability and parenting / caring responsibilities. These networks engage more than 6,000 members from around the UK and provide support and a shared sense of belonging to our people, foster important links with clients, and play a key role in connecting with the broader community.
Return to Work your way
Want to return to a career that’s full-colour, but not necessarily full-time? We can make it happen for you. Our Return to Work programme is open to anyone who’s taken a career break of two years or more and is about helping you rebuild your career in a way that works for you. It’s designed to refresh your knowledge and skills, and boost your workplace confidence.
Whatever you’ve been up to, we know it will have enriched who you are and what you can offer to our clients and business. This is about giving you the time and support you need to re-adapt and get your career back on track.
All we ask is that prior to your break you had at least five years’ experience in professional services (or similar relevant industry experience) including a minimum of two years in a similar position to the role you wish to apply for.
