An opening exists in the Rules & Compliance team (R&C) for a fixed term contractor. The assignment will run for 12-14 months. R&C forms a part of UK Regulation, the other constituents being the Market Supervision Unit and Primary Markets Compliance. It provides support to three of the UK trading venues within the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG): London Stock Exchange plc (LSE plc); Turquoise Global Holdings Ltd (TGHL); and Euro MTS Ltd (EuroMTS), and to the Elite Club Deal Ltd (ECD) platform (collectively ‘platforms’).

The position will comprise: provision of cover for the role of the FCA registered Compliance Officer and MLRO roles in respect of ECD, provision of Compliance input to the Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SMCR) project and provision of support to the R&C team on regulatory matters relating to the other regulated entities it supports as needed.
Whilst ECD is a UK investment firm authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, the role involves daily liaison with senior colleagues in Milan, Italy. The establishment of an effective working relationship with key stakeholders is therefore essential for the role.
